Broken Barriers – Issue No. 2

HTL Magazine’s second issue. Just under 100 pages of honest, helpful content for parents who care about social awareness. This issue’s LGBTQ+ focus leads to frank essays about life as a queer parent, parenting gender diverse kids, and an awareness assessment to keep up-to-speed with current terminology. Plus, this issue digs into the intersections continuing our conversations about race and culture.

The second issue of Hold the Line is here! This issue focuses on the unique experiences of parents and children who identify as LGBTQ+. Some parents tell us about adapting to the truths of their genderfluid children, others explain that bi invisibility complicates their relationships with themselves and their children. Still, others work to make it abundantly clear that representation of LGBTQ+ families in everyday scenarios in TV and books is sorely lacking.  This issue is the opportunity to learn from other parents, teachers, and community workers to become better equipped to be champions for this particular area of social justice.

Inside Hold the Line, you’ll find articles, essays, interviews, frank calls-to-action, and practical methods for wading through messy conversations.

You can purchase a 1-year subscription (the 2018 Collection) for $35, using the Subscription link in the Shop menu.
